It connects classroom practice, school operations, adult culture, and leadership insight into one coherent system — allowing Montessori communities to operate with clarity, alignment, and purpose.
Instead of scattered tools and disconnected data, MMAP provides a mapped pathway for schools to understand their work as a whole.

MMAP is not designed to standardize Montessori practice.
It is designed to make the work of Montessori more visible and more sustainable for the adults responsible for it.
Mission
The mission of Montessori Makers Alignment Map is to support Montessori schools in aligning their systems with their values.
Montessori education depends on prepared environments.
But adults also need environments that help them see clearly, coordinate their work, and make decisions with integrity.
MMAP provides those structures.
By bringing together lessons, operations, staffing, governance, and community insight in one place, the platform allows schools to operate with greater transparency, coherence, and sustainability.
The goal is not to replace Montessori practice with technology.
The goal is to protect Montessori practice by strengthening the systems that support it.
Founder
The Montessori Makers Alignment Map was created by Hannah Richardson, founder of Montessori Makers, after decades of working across public and private Montessori programs.
Throughout her work as a guide, administrator, consultant, and systems designer, she observed a recurring pattern:
Montessori schools were rich in mission but often stretched thin in systems.
Leaders carried too much in their heads.
Staff relied on informal processes.
Important patterns were difficult to see.
MMAP was developed as a response to that challenge.
It is designed to help Montessori schools operate with purpose, transparency, and peace — bringing vision and daily practice into alignment.

Privacy & Security
Montessori Makers Alignment Map is built on secure, encrypted infrastructure using Supabase and Railway.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted at rest.
Access requires authenticated sign-in, and unauthorized requests are blocked at the edge.
Row Level Security ensures that each school can only access its own data.
The platform follows FERPA-aligned practices for student data privacy, and daily backups are maintained to protect data integrity.
Montessori Makers Alignment Map protects student and community data using the same security standards used by leading educational technology platforms.
